I really enjoyed this dish but made a few tweaks to suit my preferences. I sauteed 1 onion, 2 carrots and 3 celery sticks prior to browning the meat and then added some diced zucchini at the same time as the sauce (I wanted to 'up' my vegie intake). I decreased the sugar to 2 tbs instead of 3 tbs and I then served white rice in the base of each lettuce leaf. The flavour was delicious and it's a quick and easy recipe to keep on hand. :)
