Hi, I am 21 years old and still a picky eater. I first tried tomato basil soup last year during a trip with my family, and I loved it! I haven't made the soup myself yet, but I'm confident it will taste amazing. Is there a substitute for shallots? along with the heavy cream, can we add a bit of cream cheese for an even creamier taste?

After some research I decided to use chives instead of shallots for the flavour since that's what they are for anyways. I'm late but I hope it helped!
