I boiled 2 chunked chicken breasts in water, garlic powder, onion powder and poultry seasoning until tender and done. I also doubled the salt and added extra pepper, some garlic, poultry seasoning, Italian seasonings and oregano. I mixed all of the seasonings together with the flour before adding. I used Swanson’s broth, so that I wouldn’t double up on seasonings. I chopped up fresh baby carrots, and boiled them until tender. When they were done, I cut off the heat and added some frozen peas to the hot water to thaw. I also used some diced canned potatoes, for a total of 2 cups of vegetables. I baked for 15 minutes, added a pie shield I’d cut from foil, then baked for an additional 20 minutes. It was fantastic! My boyfriend had never had a homemade pot pie (just the frozen mini ones), and he loved this! Be sure not to take your crusts out until 15 minutes before you need them, I had to put mine back in the fridge because I took them out too early, and they became gooey. It was great!
