I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs, frozen brocolli florets., half & half, and the full 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper. I used up some vegetable broth I had open (maybe a cup), plus put in four cups of the chicken broth because as it was cooking, things were looking dry. I also put in more cheese - 1 1/2 cups of sharp cheddar, then added some parmessian and mozarella - why not? Everyone loved the dish.
