This turned out delicious! My kids loved it and it was a great way to add some fruit into their diet presented as a dessert.
I did make a couple of the suggested tweaks. Instead of cinnamon I added pumpkin pie spice to my apples and mixed with brown sugar because it's what I had on hand. Also if you're just looking to get rid of some apples , I did a mixture of the apples that were over ripening at my house. I used two green apples and three golden apples. Then when it came to the flour mixture I added my oats to the flour butter mixture. I also added some more of the pumpkin pie spice. I then mixed it with my hands crumbling it up until it almost resembled what sand but still chunky. When it came out the top was so scrumptious! The apples were soft and delicious! I'm definitely going to make this one again over and over!
