If you cook the pasta in the simmering sauce make sure you test it before removing from heat and adding cheese. I used Farfalle as it holds up well to creamy sauces and it took an extra minute or so before it was al dente (package directions of 11 minutes). Really has some delicious flavors that combine well. Make sure to season chicken well otherwise it will get lost in the flavors from the sauce. I would say it was kud friendly if they like the Italian flavors. if they like plain Mac and Chesse it may be too rich.
