So I didn't have all the ingredients like the five spice powder, lemon, hoisin sauce, fresh chili, coriander leaves. I also substituted brown sugar for honey and putting the shallot in the marinade and not on top of the wings, It's personally my opinion, I didn't think raw shallots would be appealing to put on top of the wings.
So I am going to make two servings of chicken wings, so everything was double by my eyes other than the ketchup.
It also tells you not to marinde overnight for the fact that it'll be "salty" or "watery" that wasn't the case for me. I patted down my wings before putting them in the marinade and they were fine and I left them in for a good while too. I did bast three time and still not "salty" but indeed it was sweet and a little spicy from the chili garlic sauce. I know it's not the recipe that I wanted to do, but I did get another one out of it and I'll be making the other version of this recipe too.
I will be making the marinade and storing it for whenever I want something sweet and spicy.
