Would you say it was still worth it? What did you feel was missing?

I made this three months ago, so can’t rightly say. Based on my comments, I liked it but didn’t feel that it had a lot of Indian flavours

Based on the spices, I'd say this is probably more a Thai recipe than Indian. This type of dish is common for both cuisines. Usually the biggest difference is the spices.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a thai dish that I felt was missing anything. Guess I’m just gonna try :)

@daniel I think she was expecting an Indian dish instead of a Thai dish, which led to her disappointment. Let me know how it turns out! I love Thai and Indian food!

I mean, the description says INDIAN and one of the ingredients is naan, so I think they were aiming for Indian but missed the mark and hit closer to Thai - unsurprisingly since they asked for Thai curry paste!

I completely understand the confusion. I assumed the same thing because of what they said until I saw your comment and it dawned on me so i looked into it. The original source of the recipe even goes on about how it's an Indian recipe but it seems she is mistaken. Indian recipes usually use milks and heavy cream while Thai uses dairy alternative. The spices chosen are typically used in Thai recipes. You could use your choice of milk and switch out the spices for typical Indian spices for curry and hopefully that helps you get the flavor you were originally looking for. Then again, finding a different recipe might be easier. I hope you find what you are looking for! If I come across any good ones I'll come back and leave a link for you!
