Made this because I wanted something different from our every day sausage breakfast casserole and it was such a hit! I did modify to fit my family and ingredients available in my kitchen at the time. I used light bread instead of sour dough, mixed the torn pieces of bread with egg and milk mixture all in one bowl and let rest while I prepared the strudel mixture. I also added 2 teaspoons of cinnamon to egg mixture. I used dream whip (1/2 packet) instead of heavy cream, doubled the vanilla for egg mixture and doubled the streusel recipe completely because I knew we would love it. Still baked in 9x13 for 25 min and it’s perfect !
