Because the original recipe wasn't specific on milk quantity, I added quite a bit and that might have made it too watery so I did have to add in flour to thicken. I would also recommend dicing the sausage smaller if you want more pieces in each serving, especially since the potatoes do break down into smaller pieces the more you stir it.
