Step 1
Cut sausage in -inch pieces Place in 3-quart pan with 2 inches water Cube potatoes. Add to pan with sausage. Add onion and salt. Cover and bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and burning bottom of pan. Cook 20-30 minutes until potatoes are soft. Cover with milk. Add a few sprinkles of dried or freshly chopped parsley if desired. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. It should be very thick.
