This was easier to make than I expected! And toasting the cumin seeds added a depth of flavor I loved. It was less spicy than I’d expected given the half a jalapeño.
It’s a tasty marinade or condiment. I’m also going to keep this in mind for seasonal gifts; the batch isn’t huge, but it’s so easy to make and so flavorful, small containers would go a long way.
In mixing everything together I used an immersion blender in a bowl, which was messy. Next time I’d use the same blender in a vertical container. Could probably halve the oil.
