This was fantastic but I made quite a few changes based on the other notes to get it that way.
The most important thing I did was add 2 diced roma tomatoes. It was sorely needed for freshness and to add more thickness and flavor to the sauce. I would never make it without it. I also substituted shallots for onions.
Due to people who said there wasnt enough sauce, I made about 25% more.
Finally, the instructions to cook everything separately and then set aside is unnecessarily time consuming. The only thing I cooked separately was the spinach due to the moisture. Everything else I simply added at different times, adding the garlic last and then making the sauce right in the pan with all the cooked ingredients. I added the spinach with the pasta at the very end.
