I cooked this in my Ninja and was doubting the water amount but after using the venting lid while doing the pasta step found that thr extra water i added was too much! It didn't take much to thicken up which was a bonus. I am going to try sun dried tomato and fresh tomatoes next time. Could also easily be converted to a tomato base with tomato chutney and paste or pesto which i might try to as while the kids and I liked it, the other half didn't so much.
