This was a bit of an adventure. I thought o had everything to make it, but I didn’t.
I used a Newcastle Brown ale instead of the water. I use better than bullion, so I adjusted the amount of liquid, but still used 1 tsp of chicken BTB and 1 tsp of beef. I used a can of diced tomatoes instead of the tomato paste (which I usually have like 4 cans on hand), and lowered the amount of other liquid. I only had regular Idaho potatoes on hands, so I roasted them separately rather than putting them in the IP. I also didn’t have any marjoram or red pepper flakes. Then I added peas.
In summary:
2/3 red onion
Deglazed with 1/2 c Newcastle brown ale
Used a can of diced tomatoes
Skipped the marjoram and Rosemary
Added 1/4 tsp mustard powder and about 1/16 tsp cayenne along w the dried thyme.
Poured rest of beer and liquid from tomatoes into a measuring cup, then added water to 1 3/4 c.
Used about 12 baby carrots, cut in half
Roasted potatoes w olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, & paprika
Added peas.
