Delicious and totally authentic to what I remember eating as a kid! Very easy to make with clear instructions. I added a bit of turmeric to the yellow half of the batter to brighten up that side, and next time I would add more of my pink colouring (but that was my own fault for being too hesitant with it). Freezing the cakes before cutting makes the assembly much easier.
