This is very tasty. We used low sodium GF tamari (we are salt averse and have a celiac house member), did the tofu in the air fryer which added onion powder and garlic salt, but otherwise this was as written. Will make it again. Might experiment with citrus, chili garlic sauce... Whatever strikes us.
I'm curious about the "bland" comments. I'm wondering if the pepper corns were ground instead of crushed? That might sap flavor. We found this recipe very flavorful. My wife even asked if black pepper was the only spice. Yep.
