It may be me, but I think it's craving some sweetness. Just a wee bit. Next time, I will either (a) swap out the dill pickles for sweet gherkins or sweet relish, or (b) the mayo for Miracle Whip. (I was raised in a Miracle Whip > mayo family.) Also, maybe some chopped grapes to help? I did dice my celery though vs chopped; personal preference as I thought it looked better.
This has definitely got some potential, though, with a good mix of flavors I would not have considered mixing together before...especially with Ritz crackers, etc.
