They spread super thin for me. Not sure why. Next time I would try not pressing them down at all. Also I only had salted butter and would prefer unsalted. I made with an alter version of preppy kitchen icing (easy pumpkin donut recipe). But I subbed in some butter and vanilla for the water/milk and I added a pinch of salt. It was so yummy but to thick. It’s sooo sweet so a little goes a long ways. Definitely want to try this cookie again with that icing. Oh and add a coupled drops of red to make the beige (maple) icing pink. Would be so fun with sprinkles too!
