Best Sugar Cookie Recipe

Good recipe. I just don’t love sugar cookies, so meh

Spread out a lot but still yummy

Added cinnamon

Chill dough before preparing makes the cookies less likely to spread

Would definitely add another half cup of sugar but was otherwise very good

They spread super thin for me. Not sure why. Next time I would try not pressing them down at all. Also I only had salted butter and would prefer unsalted. I made with an alter version of preppy kitchen icing (easy pumpkin donut recipe). But I subbed in some butter and vanilla for the water/milk and I added a pinch of salt. It was so yummy but to thick. It’s sooo sweet so a little goes a long ways. Definitely want to try this cookie again with that icing. Oh and add a coupled drops of red to make the beige (maple) icing pink. Would be so fun with sprinkles too!
