I decided to make our own chili garlic oil, since we always run out and I say why not. π
I used the recipe as basis but I added some coriander seeds, sesame seeds, bay leaf and cinnamon bark and Szechuan pepper to the mixture. I let them simmer in oil first but the mistake I made was that for forgot to remove them before I added the garlic. For the garlic I used way way more than stated π I used 12 garlic heads then aside from the chili flakes I also added 10 pieces of chopped red chili peppers.
Itβs so aromatic and I love it. It went well with the black Chinese vinegar and a delicious addition to our dumplings, siomai and noodles ππ
