I made this recipe for myself with beef and for a vegetarian friend without meat. I added carrots, mushrooms, onion and a small amount of cauliflower. I made a triple recipe and I quadrupled the sauce. I cooked the meat separately and added it to the vegetable/sauce mixture after removing half of the mixture for my vegetarian friend. We both found it to be delightful and I made enough for leftovers the next day. Served it over brown and white rice mixture.
Very good sauce, great recipe. I will definitely make it again.
