Fava beans are not yet in season, but I can't wait to make the recipe fully as intended! The veggie prep and blanch/shock/drain/dry process did take up a LOT of space in the kitchen (at one point I was using the oven as storage) but I think it's worth it for the volume and beauty of the resulting dish. I don't know that this is a recipe I would turn to for a normal week's meals, buuuuuuut I can see myself relishing the process on an otherwise lazy weekend.
