Delicious! I made this vegan by using soya milk and a vegan spread. A mild, creamy taste that pairs really well with lots of other foods. I usually just use the large white onions that I can buy loose in the shops here and it works really well. I don't go for the full 45 minute boiling time in the recipe either; about 20 mins is plenty for me. A surprising and fabulous combination of sweet and savoury.
