I love this but I flipped it. I did potatoes on the bottom because it is WAY easier to spread AND the gravy soaks into it creating rich flavor. Love it!

I made this too with taters on top. Would suggest more taters-my topping a little thin. But recipe was great

I highly suggest you try it with the mashed potatoes on top. The mashed potatoes are supposed to brown and become crispy, which adds texture to a relatively mushy meal.
