Used 170 grams butter and golden syrup instead. Made this 5 times now. I love it. My partner loves it so much that I baked another batch once the last one finished. We both like it crisp, so I spread the dough out really thin. Upto you how you like it. Very flexible.

1st time tried ginger biscuits. Turned out well, hubby said better than store bought. Sub butter, brown sugar and omit water like other suggested. Works well, will make again

Made it 2nd time. Rolled real thin and turned out really crunchy like store bought that's how we like it. It's a keeper
