I'm lazy, I had no lemon juice and my butter was salted so I didn't add more. I also used the same bowl for topping after the apples were in the pan. But it was delicious and reminded me of my childhood.
I cut the apples 1/12 or 1/16 depending in size of apple, Cortland and Macintosh.
