The canned meat you use makes a big difference in the taste of this dish. You can use your favorite canned meat. Roast beef is my personal favorite, but you could use corned beef, Spam, or probably even tuna. This was my first time trying this brand of roast beef. It did not smell very pleasant when I opened the can, but the taste was quite good. The tater tots were a new addition to the old recipe, and I was inspired because I had some that had thawed and didn't know what else to do with them. It gave it a nice bit of extra texture, and more hash like.
