Was a bit too sweet for me (even though I reduced the sugar a little bit and skipped the icing part) but it was a hit in the house. Topped with some hazelnuts and nutmeg (per suggestion from an other review) before baking, I would add more next time. Great recipe.

It was light like a sponge and so tasty, with a crusty top, but too much sugar. Will try with Some sweetener added next time.

Glad you liked it! Agreed on the sugar, it's way too much. I think I'll try switching it with honey next time.
