I did it without the sausage and it came out great. Next time I will use ground turkey. Had to add chicken bullion to give it a more savory flavor. Also added a spoonful of sugar and coconut milk to bring out the sweetness of the cabbage. Will definitely do this again. Very comforting during the cold season.
