This is an apple lovers pie! I used the full 4.5 pounds of apples and my final pie measures about 4 inches in the center - LOTS of apples! I feel like eating one slice should for sure count as being healthy and eating two apples 😂 I am lazy and left the skins on which made it a little harder to chew through (i would skin them next time). Good basic recipe, I like that it’s less fussy with the spices, although I think I may add a few more spices and do a few less apples next time. I used an all butter pie crust recipe from another site (serious eats) which I’ll attach.
