I mean, I wouldn't call this goulash. Even for an American version of the dish, I don't think it qualifies. It's more like a baked cheeseburger!
I omitted the cheese, halved the Italian seasoning and added paprika. It still tasted fine, but I don't think I'd make it again. I'll go find a more authentic goulash, or make a cheeseburger casserole or spaghetti Bolognese or something instead.
