To jazz it up I cooked the jalapeño and garlic before adding the beans and sweet potato mash to the pan. I also added more seasoning than called for. It was still kind of bland.
My 2 year old really liked this, but my husband and I were underwhelmed. We agreed it was fine, but I won't be making this recipe again.
