I have made my version of this for years now. It is delicious as written however l have since adapted it to the preference of my family.
I use ground cumin and coriander (family preference over seeds), I do not add cilantro (again family preference). Sometimes I add fresh tomatoes, sometimes I don’t just depends on what is in my refrigerator.
I ALWAYS double the recipe as we LOVE having this a second night as the flavors have really had a chance to meld together.
