Make sure to cook the soup until the peas are completely soft. Also, don't add any salt until the end so it doesn't become too salty. Once, I accidentally used lentils and it turned out pretty good. If cooking in a crock pot cook on low for 4 hours and then check it. Cooking it too long will disintegrate the peas. Also start out with less liquid as it doesn't evaporate as quickly. 8/10
