Delicious and super easy to make. However, if you’re looking for an authentic tasting bulgogi, this recipe will disappoint you. I had to tweak it quite a lot to get to a flavor profile that seemed close to a bulgogi dish — the original recipe just tastes like beef and not much else. Added a lot more sugar, sesame seed oil, and soy sauce to combat the bland beefy taste. I’ll try using honey next time to achieve a thicker consistency, but if you can get your hands on oyster sauce, I believe that’ll make for a great flavor booster.

Reading this comment last week sent me down a rabbit hole of curiosity and I ended up seeking out a Bulgogi recipe & making it tonight. It was incredible and I agree with you now… these beef bowls don’t compare, if bulgogi is what you’re going for. This version is like, kids menu Bulgogi. 😅 Anyhow- thanks so much for the idea! 🙌
