Made this with beef exactly as directed and it was awesome. Cheap, easy, and delicious.
Made it with diced chicken just now and it's great that way too! (Added carrots and onion when cooking the chicken) Very versatile recipe which is exactly what you need when building your recipe box.
I doubled the soy sauce mixture for the chicken version because I wished I'd had more liquid the first time I made it.
