Wow.. I never thought of using butter to bring the pie dough come together better. Previously I baked some curry puff (southeast Asian's baked pastries) and the butter to flour ratio is 35-40%. This recipe uses twice the amount of butter and half the amount of water as compared to the curry puff. And you managed to roll it out very nicely. :)

It’s not quite the same flaky/cracker texture as some people like in their pie crusts, but I actually prefer this tender butter! I did add another two tablespoons of water for the dough ball to come together a little more, but now I want to know about curry puff! Do you have a recipe??
