I used 4 cups of cheese, one was not enough. I also ran out of doritoes for the top layer, so I definitely recommend a bigger bag. I choose to use the spicy doritoes, I like a spicier taste. Last I used chicken thighs I cut up and cooked with chicken taco seasoning and it added so much flaver to the dish.
