I made my own Cajun seasoning and it had some heat! I used 3T Hungarian paprika, 2T kosher salt, 2T garlic powder, 1T onion powder, 1T ground black pepper, 1T cayenne, 1T dried oregano, and 1/2T thyme. It was tasty and the whole family enjoyed, but if spicy isn't your thing I'd cut back the cayenne in the Cajun seasoning (if making you own mix) and omit the red pepper flakes.
Wish it had veggies. I added sun dried tomatoes, but steamed broccoli would have been great, too. I served over edamame noodles and the family had traditional pasta noodles.
Easy and will make again.
