Probably just my mistake but I put it in the oven with the water tray and the egg separated from the rest of the cake. I know I did the making part perfectly but the baking part was a challenge. Any reason why this would happen?

Hello. I know I’m super late getting back to you and I apologise. From what I remember I put the cake batter into the cake tin. I put the cake tin into a larger tin and then put cold. water into the larger tin around the cake. I put it into the oven and let it bake for the recommended time. I’m only a new baker and I know you are very experienced so it’s a high chance I did something silly that I am unaware of. I also love your work and I’m so happy you replied! Any tips would be great 👍.
