These biscuits were the star of our breakfast show!!! I will never have store bought biscuits again, they were too easy and so good! layered, flaky, buttery, soft texture on the inside beautiful crisp on the outside. Excellent with sausage breakfast gravy, wonderful with butter and raspberry jam. I did not have a biscuit cutter so I worked the dough into a long rectangle, cut in half with a sharp knife lengthwise, then cut in quarters for 8 HUGE square biscuits, we had 4 left over… they will be excellent tomorrow with ham and scrambled eggs for a breakfast biscuit sandwich! TIP: I opened a brand new bag of all purpose flour and used brand new baking powder they almost doubled in height while baking
