I enjoyed this recipe, but was missing the fresh component. I made it with egg noodles that were boiled in chicken broth. I also made the chicken in the slow cooker with chicken broth. I think next time I will try either marjoram,thyme,celery seed, or Rosemary to add the fresh taste to the casserole. I think I could use a little more onion flavor or garlic flavor as well . I froze half of the recipe for some other time. I would use a large stock pot too mix all the ingredients in. My largest bowl wasn't even big enough.
