Saracha can be used. Do not stir the sugar. It won't change the flavour, but it won't coat the chicken beautifully. Good reheated as well. We love this dish and have had it 3 times in a week!

It says to cover the chicken with the sugar. I got lumps. I just cooked the chook and added the other stuff. It all mixes and reduces together and tastes fab!
