I adjusted this to be a crockpot recipe because I only had stew meat, and that's too tough for my old man to eat unless cooked in a crockpot. What I did is I upped the bourbon and brown sugar to a half cup each, used 1/4 cup of fresh parsley and 1/4 cup dried parsley, I craved garlic so I added some (just shook some out over the meat once it was in the crockpot), I added about a teaspoon of cinnamon due to his diabetes (it helps control blood sugar), cooked it on low for 8 hours and it was so good. Sweet but delicious.
