I first tried sobolo (also called bissap) during a trip to Ghana. It was sold along the side of the road and was always SO refreshing on hot days. I decided to make it here because it was missing the spicy, sweet flavor. It definitely took a while to make and was a little messy but totally worth it. Just make sure you have a good blender and a good strainer.
Also, I’d you can’t find some of the spices, the recipe provides alternatives at the bottom (just cloves and cinnamon sticks).
