Sticky toffee pudding is already a very good idea. Add brown butter to the sponge and the toffee sauce and things get even better. The butter is browned until it smells nutty and caramel-like, then used throughout the recipe. You get that familiar soft date sponge and sticky toffee sauce, but with a deeper, slightly toasted flavour running through both.
