Cream Cheese Frosting

Used salted butter, did not add salt. Added 300g sugar and didn't seem stiff enough. Added to taste/texture after that. Came out very well. Enough for 12 regular and 18 mini cupcakes, with one full pastry bag to spare

Too sweet. Cut sugar to 2 cups

I made this to top a cinnamon roll cake. I only used around 2 cups of powdered sugar, and it was a generous amount for the cake.

I can't believe I made it through 43 years of life without knowing how easy it is to make frosting! To be fair, I don't really bake (other than the occasional banana bread). But still! 😆 I was looking for a cream cheese frosting recipe because I forgot to pick some up at the store, and I was wondering if I already had all of the ingredients on hand. I did! This stuff is delicious, and oh-so easy to whip up! I'll never use store-bought frosting again!

Just tastes like powdered sugar

I saw someone else's note about sweetness and also did 3.5 cups of powdered sugar. Turned out lovely for my spice cake cupcakes! I frosted my cupcakes later in the day, so I put the frosting in the fridge in a bag, which helped with the structural integrity/thickness.

Used 2 cups of powdered sugar. Would have been fine with just 1 or 1 and 1/2 cups for sweetness. Didn't need to pipe frosting so wasn't important for it to be very thick.

I used about 3 1/2 cups to reduce the sweetness because the strawberry cake I frosted was already very sweet. They paired very well.

Easy and fast to make

Made this to go with the carrot cake recipe for Easter. I used 2.5 cups of powdered sugar. My son and I both tasted it and thought it was perfect. It still piped well without the full amount of sugar. I will be making this recipe again for my daughters birthday party! Nothing but positive reviews from everyone so far.

I switched out regular vanilla for buttery vanilla, and it was much creamier and pastry of way better love it.

Looks good - had lots leftover as we don’t do lots of icing on cupcakes in this house - but teenager approved👍🏼

Best cream cheese frosting I've ever had!

I reduced the sugar to about 275g since the quantity looked too much. Ended up being runny and could not layer a cake with it nicely. Icing was really tasty but the cake looked sloppy. The way mine turned out was perfect to just cover a loaf cake. The authors recipe with 500g sugar probably does have a stable frosting, but I don't want to consume that much sugar in just the frosting.

Soo delicious and easy to make! I added a couple tablespoons of milk to thin it out enough to spread on a 9x13 cake!!

I added milk to make it more spreadable. As far as the measurement goes I just eyeballed it may be about two 2 1/2 tablespoons and it was perfect.
