This pizza sauce recipe will take your pizza to that next level and it is so easy to make! For the dough I use my versatile dough recipe (found here on my whisk page) and keep it in the fridge for 2-3 days to become more flavorful and you end up with the best homemade pizza from scratch!

Instructions

Step 1
Add tomatoes to a saucepan with the olive oil and let them simmer covered for a few minutes until they get hot.
Step 2
With a masher or a fork, pop and mash the tomatoes and then add the remaining ingredients.
Step 3
Let the sauce simmer on medium low heat for a good 15-20 minutes uncovered (stirring every 5 minutes or so to check on it) to reduce and become more paste/sauce like.
Step 4
This recipe will make enough sauce for one large pizza, if you want to make more, double or triple the recipe and the sauce can stay in the fridge for 4-5 days.
