Butterscotch Brownies with Caramel Icing

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Spray or line with parchment paper an 8 x 8 square pan.
Step 3
In medium bowl, beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg.

Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt, just till combined
Step 5
Spread into pan and bake 25 minutes.
Step 6
Remove from oven and cool
Step 7
Prepare icing by melting butter in small saucepan, stirring constantly until brown. Add brown sugar and continue cooking till sugar is dissolved.
Step 8
Take off heat and add half and half and vanilla. Let cool.
Step 9
After cooled, add powdered sugar and beat. Add up to 2 cups to thickness you desire.
